About White Lie

WHITE LIE was a melodic hard rock band that played in the Orange County area of southern California in the early 80's. Jeff, Kevin and Brent met just out of high school and formed a friendship that has lasted over 30 years.

White Lie was formerly called TRIXX and played with the likes of Ratt,Great White, Poison, Motley Crue and other popular rock acts during that time.

The music of WHITE LIE was different from what most of the others bands were playing during that time and WHITE LIE stood out from the rest.

The music was influenced by each member's love of different music styles ranging from Rush, Queen, Led Zeppelin, UFO, and Boston with clasical music and different rythyms developed in each song. Layered on top with a heavy influence of blues and creative song structure and arrangements.

Known as a musicians band, many members of large acts would come to see WHITE LIE play and asked them to open up for them.

In 1983 WHITE LIE went into the studio to record material for the first time but creative differences between band members along with tension of the recording sessions resulted in the break up of WHITE LIE.

Many said White Lie was ahead of their time.....Who knows, but it was a kick ass band that had great songs!!

Kevin Reyes went on the play in Martial Law and then replaced Bruce Kulick in Michael Bolton's band when Bruce joined KISS.

Kevin shot the video "Everybodys Crazy" and toured to support the album. Kevin also played in Black Sheep, Power Squadron, Fortress and Box Car.

Jeff Miller went on to form Straight Shooter with Rick Chavez from WHITE LIE and did shows with Great White, Poison and many others before taking a leave of absence from the music industry.

Jeff currently also plays in Fermented Youth and several cover bands.

Brent Walsh went on to play in Vexx and released "Vexx Education" in 1987 to radio airplay and global recognition, later Brent played in Scarlet Crush, Box Car and currently plays in Fermented Youth and Gin Piston.

Tom McCrory from Belfast, Northern Ireland has been singing in hard rock bands from the age of 15.

Tom's most recent project before joining White lie was with the colorful hard rocking, Daredevils Don't Die. Their album Hot dogs and Hamburgers received critical acclaim for its blend of 70's/80's hard rock and modern Punk / POP Ferocity.

Rick Chavez and Eric Higley left the music scene in the 80's and still today have no interest in playing again.

WHITE LIE has reunited in 2010 for a few limited shows a year and with the addition of Thomas McCrory on vocals, it is a show you do not want to miss..
